Research proposals should be submitted in a 'standard format' (see end of this page). The facility management will complement each proposal with comments on the feasibility of the required FELIX/FELICE performance, the beam time needed, and other operational aspects. A Programme Advisory Committee convenes two times per year to review requests for beam time, with the aim to set up a priority rating. The rating will be translated into an operation schedule by the facility management. Users requesting a substantial amount of beam time may be asked to give an oral presentation of their plans to the PAC.

The deadline for submitting a proposal for the period 1 September 2010 - 28 February 2011 is

The deadline for submitting a proposal for the period 1 March 2011 - 31 August 2011 is 1 December 2010. Proposals should preferably be sent by e-mail. If further information is required, you are invited to contact the facility manager.

Programme Advisory Committee

A Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) advises the FELIX management in the allocation of beam time. The PAC was installed in the spring of 1993. In view of a formal agreement with the EPSRC, involving the use of 20% of the beam by researchers from the UK, the PAC includes a UK representative. Note that proposals from all countries, including the UK, will be subject to the judgement of the PAC. The present members are:
